I’ve worked as a journalist writing dispatches for the last 20 years. That’s taken me across the United States, whether in the northwest focusing on a town fighting its planned demise all the way to the boyhood home of Johnny Cash in the muddy rice fields of Arkansas. I’ve been a foreign correspondent for over a decade, covering everything from violence in Nigeria, the Taliban insurgency and takeover of Afghanistan to the skyscrapers and the smaller wonders of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

I’m able to piece together stories from user-generated content online and satellite imagery from above to tell the stories in denied-access areas.
